We are looking for 1-2 interns for the 2019 season. Ideally suit a couple or friends happy to share onsite accommodation who are keen to learn all aspects of market gardening in beautiful Perthshire. Ideally from 1st April- 31st October.
We are a team of 3 young farmers running a market garden going into our 4th year of production and grow a wide range of vegetables, fruits, herbs and cut flowers and have a 2 flocks of hens, around 80 in total. We practice no-dig soil management and follow organic principles without certification due to the fact we direct sell most of the produce. Using bio-intensive production methods and wildlife friendly techniques we try and maximise our soil health whilst maintaining high productivity. Ideally suited to people wanting to find out more about the reality of small-scale sustainable market gardening and Community Supported Agriculture, looking to gain valuable experience whilst planning their own small farm / small holding. We would love to share our experiences of starting out and setting up from scratch with people keen to start / develop their own projects.
