Forage your own hedgerow basket 13th September
Saturday 11th October 10-4pm
We will spend the morning browsing and foraging the hedgerows of our market garden finding all sorts of weavable materials that you can find growing in urban and rural areas. With an assortment of different textures and colours we will weave a Hedgerow/ Ribbed basket which is perfect for taking on other foraging adventures, they are made from two hoops and are a great type of basket for beginners- All abilities welcome.
Drinks and refreshments provided and there is the Gorse Cafe onsite.

We will be collecting anything we can find that might be bendy enough to weave with like dogwood, rubus, bark, grasses and reeds if we can find any!
We will learn two types of weaves to bind the frame together and then to build the base
